The Stern Father of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Now, under Douyin videos or other videos showing the world's advanced medical technologies, there will always be comments saying, "Traditional Chinese medicine is your stern father."

I don't care whether traditional Chinese medicine can cure illness, because I don't go to traditional Chinese medicine practitioners either.

When I was little, my family was poor, and the country's medical system was relatively poor as well. There was nowhere to get Western medical treatment, or no money for it. Whenever we got sick, we went to traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. They would prescribe herbal medicine, three or five doses a day, and after drinking it for several days, minor illnesses such as colds would get better. I don't know whether the traditional Chinese medicine cured them, or whether drinking more hot water was good for the body and the body then recovered on its own.

After so many years of national development, I now find that the people who vigorously promote traditional Chinese medicine are basically those who make money from the upstream and downstream businesses of Chinese herbal medicine.

People selling fake medicinal herbs, making useless equipment, selling health supplements, and posing as fake masters, and so on.

In the domestic environment, doing scientific research is rather difficult. It is easier to cultivate connections.

At first, every time I saw the world's advanced medical technologies, I felt deeply stunned, and I also felt sorrow for the domestic research environment.

Later, I began to wonder: do those patients who see traditional Chinese medicine practitioners sincerely believe it can cure illness?

When ordinary people in this country develop a difficult-to-treat disease, can they really rely on medical insurance to get something like gene-editing therapy, cell immunotherapy, proton or heavy-ion therapy, or boron neutron capture therapy?

People say that nobody is spending now and everyone is desperately saving money. Is it really because they don't want to spend?

Can people without money really rely on Western medicine in this country today to treat those serious illnesses?

People need some hope in order to live. In the end, traditional Chinese medicine gives ordinary people who want to live but have no money some hope of staying alive.

It is just like treating illness with cow urine in India. We always see it as backward and treat it as a joke.

But if they had money, who wouldn't want to use advanced medical technology to treat themselves?
